Fee Structure
The following sets forth details of our fee structure, placement and programme considerations.
- Fees are market related, and whilst the below indicates our standard offerings, we fully understand that there may be a need for tailor made packages, and we are willing to discuss this on a case by case basis.
- A month’s notice will be given before any alteration to the scale of fees is brought to effect..
- Tariffs contain herein are for the 2023 school year.
- Please note that the Initial Assessment is designed as a placement guide. Our recommendations are underpinned by the Verbal Behaviour Milestone Assessment framework. Whilst we are flexible and understand the cost implications associated with each placement, we request that parents give these recommendations their full consideration in order to ensure the best results for their students.
- Tutoring, Home Program and Tutoring Training fees will be invoiced on the 25th of each month, in advance, and are required to be settled by the 1st of the following month. Initial Assessment are payable upfront.

In order to develop an Individualized Special Education Programme, an initial assessment is required. As a result of this initial assessment, a comprehensive report is provided, including discussion regarding the outcomes. This feedback session will be conducted during the parent interview, a component of the initial assessment. |

Home Tutor Supervisory Programme* |

We offer a supervisory service which involves: – Initial Assessment, including the development of an Individualized Home Programme to be executed by the current caretaker/aupair/tutor – Intensive initial training of caretaker/aupair/tutor – Ongoing training, supervision, evaluation and updates of the programme and its implementation included as part of the montly retainer fee below. |

Reporting
Initial Assessments:
- Tutor Assessment, if required
- Individual learner assessment, using the VB Mapp (Verbal Behaviour Milestone Assessment and Placement Programme) assessment tool, which sees students assessed across 16 different language and language related skill areas including;
- Standard linguistic measures such as vocabulary size
- Syntactical and Grammatical conventions
- Listener skills
- Visual perception skills
- Vocal output
- Play and socialization
Quarterly Reporting:
Individual progress reports are issued quarterly, including parent meetings to discuss these reports in depth.
Ad Hoc Reporting:
Incident reporting, including reporting required which arises from regression or behavioral concerns will be done on an Ad Hoc basis, as needed.
Consulting Rates:
Where applicable, our 1:1 consulting rates are charged at R455 per hour. These rates may fluctuate depending on the length and engagement level required.
Cancellations
We are most flexible with regard to appointment times and endeavour to do our utmost to accommodate parents in this regard, but would like to stress that, in order to obtain optimum results, regular and consistent therapy is par amount.
- If your student is ill or unable to attend on any given day, we request that parents notify us by no later than 7:30 on the respective day.
- Please note that all Initial Assessment appointments will be charged for unless cancelled within 24 hours of the assessment.
- Please note that should you which to terminate you student’s therapy, on calendar month’s written notice is required.
Travel
We include travel within a 15km radius of Nelspruit central. In other words, any return trips exceeding 30km from Nelspruit Central will be charged at AA p/km rates.
Holidays
Whilst no therapy is available during school calendar holidays and public holidays, when possible, Seek will provide a special needs aftercare service over all the holiday periods, except for Easter and Year End. Holiday rates will apply.
Please note that availability for aftercare during these holiday periods will be released 2 months prior to the commencement of the respective holiday.
